Jamila says she can find any older transactions or records anytime she wants – a digital-first lifestyle is efficient, safe, and transparent. For Eid Al Adha, she was happy to use digital ways to sacrifice and do charity.
It is possible to conduct Qurbani (sacrifice) purchase transaction, distribute it and other Eid charity online and via your mobile device. This helps automate, scan, and distribute your sacrifices and donations instantly through apps and websites. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has set the official Qurbani rates from Dh350 to Dh800 for 2026.
Book appointments on municipality apps and websites: Pre-booking slaughter appointments through digital platforms helps ease operations and reduces wait times and crowding in peak-demand periods.
Book sacrifice animals online: With UAE authorities accelerating the use of digital services for Eid sacrifices, residents can now book sacrificial animals online through municipality and via authorized and approved platforms, charities, and applications.
Book through charities: Reputed registered organizations in the UAE, including the Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Charity Association, and Dar Al Ber Society, have facilitated the booking of sacrifice on their official websites. This allows choice of sacrifices outside or inside the UAE. Bookings are opened in advance so that you can take your time, consult with family, and then book.
Booking through apps: UAE-based apps such as Noon and Careem have created options to buy animals including cows, camels, Kashmiri sheep, or Somali sheep. It is possible to not only book the sacrifice of your choice, but also pick the delivery date and time, and pay online. You might need to ensure that you book well in time to get the best choice of stock.
Using options like app-based Qurbani, paying using digital methods, and giving to licensed organizations to distribute the offering among the needy locally or internationally can ensure that your charity aligns with your lifestyle and beliefs.
